I fell in love with the Twins in 1964 when I started watching baseball with my Grandpa. He was a lifelong baseball fan and shared his passion for the game with me. First game I saw Harmon Killebrew hit a monster home run and he immediately became my favorite player. That summer I rarely missed a single game either on TV or radio. That winter I met catcher Earl Battey at a baseball banquet. He impressed me by shaking this 11 year old’s hand and signed a baseball for him. That was the beginning of my love affair with baseball in general and the Minnesota Twins in particular.
